We are a community committed to Christ, seeking to worship and glorify God, to deepen our personal relationships with Him, to strengthen each other through the power of the Holy Spirit, and to share Christ's love with our neighbors.

Our congregation has a deep and abiding faith in God's love and in the salvation He offers to all through Jesus Christ, His Son. We believe that God's word in the Bible is the authoritive source for living our daily lives. We strive to share God's word in a relevant fashion in order to help bring others to faith and nourish them as they grow in faith.

First Presbyterian Church was established in 1887 with 21 members and was located at Gale & Linden Avenues. With 87 members in 1894, a new church was built at Park & Oak. Today, the congregation is located at the corner of Quick and Lathrop Avenues, its third location, which was built in 1928.

Worshipping God is a strong emphasis and we worship in both contemporary and traditional formats. We also offer many educational, fellowship and small group opportunities for children, youth and adults.

Part-Time Youth Minstry

Seeking an individual passionate about ministering to Junior and Senior High youth. This individual will work up to 20 hours a week, partnering with our full-time Director of Youth Ministries and core of committed volunteers, establishing and maintaining a vibrant ministry helping Junior and Senior High Youth experience the kind of authentic Christian community that cultivates, nourishes, and enhances their spiritual growth.

Must be a mature follower of Christ and highly relational.
